“The mountains are great stone bells; they clang together like nuns."
- Annie Dillard
It seems like people flock to the mountains over Christmas break,
seeking family, the ski slopes, and a slower way of life.
Which is exactly what my family and I did.
A few of these past few restful days have been spent at home,
sorting through and editing photographs.
I have tentatively started a 52 Project,
taking a photograph each week for a year.
It seems like quite the undertaking,
but so far it has been nothing but roses.
(That may or may not be a clue pertaining to the subject matter.)
Although, I am only on week two,
and it may be that I am speaking too soon.

I wish mountains were more present in my life!
ReplyDeleteI seem fated to live among lonely sky scrapers and walk through the occasional wood.
I love that quote.
Thanks Ann. So sweet of you.
DeleteThis sounds like such a wonderful project! And your mountain shots are beautiful! I can't wait to see more.
